Jessica Alba considered giving up acting

Jessica Alba considered giving up actingMachete star Jessica Alba has revealed that she hit such a career low a few years ago that she ‘really hated’ her job and “wanted to stop acting’.
In an interview with US Elle, the 29-year-old actress said she hit an all-time low after a string of bad movies, blaming ‘first-time directors’.
And she singled out the 2007 movie Silver Surfer during which she was told by the director that her tears looked ‘too real’ and ‘too painful’, and was asked, ‘Can you be prettier when you cry?’
‘I just said, ‘F*** it, I don’t care about this business anymore’,’ she told the magazine
The Fantastic Four star also complained about being made to stick to scripts, insisting: ‘Good actors never use the script unless it’s amazing writing. All the good actors I’ve worked with, they all say whatever they want to say.’
But Alba said her career is in a much better place these days as her decision to sign up to a film is ‘all about the directors’ and ‘now I prefer I’m not the lead’.
